September Small Business Spotlights – Houston Restaurants

This month’s look at a variety of diverse & delicious Houston restaurants.

by Aimie Ye

Our hometown of Houston is the most diverse city in the United States, and this diversity is certainly reflected in the abundance of restaurants and cuisines in the area. From traditional Southern comfort food to authentic Indian fare, there really isn’t much you CAN’T get in H-Town.

As we’ve said before, small businesses are the heart and soul of our economy, so we’re committed to bringing awareness to them.
For our second month of small business spotlights, we’ve decided to dive in on the local restaurant scene. Here are a few of our favorites!

Lucille’s

Museum District
5512 La Branch St, Houston, TX 77004
Website

Co-founded by brothers Chris and Ben Williams, this cozy restaurant pays tribute to their great-grandmother Lucille B. Smith, who was an educator and culinary innovator. They aim to replicate her famous recipes and serve up delicious and well-refined Southern cuisine. Since 2020, Lucille’s has also embarked on a philanthropic journey (Lucille’s 1913) to support Houston healthcare heroes and provide employment to locals while supporting the less fortunate.
